Horizontal hives are a little different way of keeping honey bees. Top bars have been around for centuries and combining the Langstroth vertical hive together you get the hybrid Long Lang Horizontal hive. While looking for the best beehive design on the market, I stumbled on the Long Lang Horizontal hive and fell in love with how easy they are to use. However, there were very few on the market, which forced me to design my first horizontal hive.
